- 1 lb pizza dough
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 large onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease a baking sheet or pizza pan with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the onions and sauté until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- Add the garlic, oregano, salt and pepper and cook for another minute.
- Roll out the pizza dough on the prepared baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Spread the caramelized onions over the dough. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
