Ingredients
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and caramelized, about 15 minutes.
  2. Stir in the sugar and salt. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a food processor and pulse until smooth. Serve with crackers or chips.
