- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 6 quarts popped popcorn
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add corn syrup and brown sugar; stir until dissolved.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat; stir in baking soda and vanilla.
- Pour over popcorn; stir to coat.
- Shape into 3-inch balls and place on waxed paper to cool.
- Store in airtight container.
