- 2 quarts popped popcorn
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Preheat oven to 250°F.
- Place popcorn in a large bowl and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and corn syrup, stirring until well blended.
- Bring mixture to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in baking soda.
- Pour caramel over popcorn and mix well. Place in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Bake at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
- Store in an airtight container.
