Caramel Apple Pie
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 6 cups thinly sliced peeled tart apples
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Melt the butter in a saucepan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir until well blended. Arrange the apple slices in the unbaked crust and pour the sugar and butter mixture over them.
  2. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 35 to 45 minutes, or until apples are soft.
  3. Cool before serving.
