- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3 cups peeled and chopped apples
- 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the apples and caramel topping. Spread over the crust.
- Bake for an additional 25 minutes in the preheated oven.
- Cool before cutting into bars.
