- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup cold butter, cut into small cubes
- 3 apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Spread half of the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with apples.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, corn syrup and melted butter. Pour over the apples.
- Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over top.
- Bake for 30 minutes in preheated oven or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
