- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups finely chopped apples
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust
- 1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
- Pour mixture into the pie crust. Drizzle caramel topping over the top.
- Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool before serving.
