Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • Oil for frying

Steps
  1. In a shallow bowl or dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper and black pepper. Add salt to taste.
  2. In a separate bowl or dish, whisk the eggs and buttermilk together.
  3. Dip each chicken strip into the egg mixture first and then into the flour mixture. Make sure each piece is coated well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken strips for about 3 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Drain on paper towels before serving.
