- 1 cup brown rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup sushi vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Rinse the brown rice in a sieve until the water runs clear.
- Add the rinsed rice and 2 cups of water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
- In a small bowl, combine sushi vinegar, sesame oil, and salt. Mix well until combined.
- Pour the sushi vinegar mixture over the cooked rice and mix well until all of the rice is evenly coated.
- Serve in bowls with desired toppings.
