In a medium bowl, mix together the dry ingredients.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, buttermilk, and oil.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
Heat a lightly greased griddle or large skillet over medium heat. Pour batter onto the griddle in 1/4-cup portions. Cook until bubbles form on top and the edges are golden brown. Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
