- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in melted butter and milk until well blended.
- Spread batter into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle blackberries over batter. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup sugar over the top.
- Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
