Black Beans
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. black beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced

Steps
  1. Soak beans overnight in a large bowl of water.
  2. Drain and rinse beans.
  3. In a large pot, add beans, water, onion, garlic and jalapeno pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour or until beans are tender.
  6. Remove from heat and serve.
