Biscuits
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in milk until dough forms a ball.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, knead dough 10 times.
  6. Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  7. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
