Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cups buttermilk

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and melted butter.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk until combined.
  5. Heat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
  6. Pour 1/3 cup of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve immediately or keep warm in a 200°F oven until ready to serve.
