- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cups buttermilk
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and melted butter.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the buttermilk until combined.
- Heat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Pour 1/3 cup of batter onto the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
- Repeat with remaining batter. Serve immediately or keep warm in a 200°F oven until ready to serve.
