Beer Battered Oniā€¦
Ingredients
  • 1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 ounces beer, at room temperature

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  2. Dip the onion rings in the beer batter and coat evenly.
  3. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375 degrees F.
  4. Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels and season with additional salt if desired.
