Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream

Steps
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the beef strips and garlic and cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  2. Stir in the flour, paprika, salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Add the mushrooms, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the sour cream and remove from heat.
  6. Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
