- 1 lb. beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 3 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the beef strips and garlic and cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Stir in the flour, paprika, salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Stir in the sour cream and remove from heat.
- Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
