Beef Chili
Ingredients
  • 2lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 (15oz) cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 (15oz) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (4oz) can diced green chilies
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. In a large pot over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, green chilies, chili powder, cumin powder, oregano and salt.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
