- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups water
- Rinse the rice in a fine mesh strainer.
- Add the rice and water to a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
- Fluff with a fork before serving.
