Basil Pesto
Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan-Reggiano cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts
  • 3 medium sized garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Steps
  1. Combine the basil, Parmesan-Reggiano cheese, olive oil, pine nuts and garlic in a food processor.
  2. Process until everything is finely chopped.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Mix until all ingredients are well blended.
