- 2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan-Reggiano cheese
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup pine nuts
- 3 medium sized garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Combine the basil, Parmesan-Reggiano cheese, olive oil, pine nuts and garlic in a food processor.
- Process until everything is finely chopped.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix until all ingredients are well blended.
