- 2 cups cubed banana bread
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
- Cut banana bread into cubes and place in the greased baking dish.
- Pour egg mixture over the banana bread cubes and stir gently to combine.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Drizzle melted butter over the top of the french toast bake.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
- Serve warm with maple syrup or powdered sugar.
