- 2 cups macaroni
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour, salt, and pepper and stir until smooth.
- Slowly add milk and whisk until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
- Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni and pour into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
