- 4 (6-ounce) fish fillets
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Season each side of the fish fillets with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the canola oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan.
- When the oil is hot, add the fish fillets and cook for 3 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 8 minutes or until cooked through.
- Serve immediately.
