Baguette
Ingredients
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar and yeast.
  2. Add the warm water and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it is soft and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for one hour.
  5. Shape the dough into a baguette shape and place onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the baguette with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  7. Bake in preheated oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
