- 4 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast

- 2 cups warm water
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
- Add the warm water and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes or until it is smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape into bagels.
- Place the bagels on a greased baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack.
