Apple Strudel
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 3 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add the water, stirring with a fork until the dough forms a ball.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a 12-inch square. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the apples, sugar and cinnamon; mix well. Spread over the dough to within 1 inch of the edges.
  4. Fold up the edges of the dough to enclose filling. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature.
