- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the batter alternately with the milk.
- Fill each muffin cup 3/4 full with batter.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
- Let cool in tin for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
