- 4 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/3 cup butter
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
- Spread evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
