- 4 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Place the apples in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Mix together the sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; sprinkle over apples.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Stir in milk until mixture is smooth.
- Pour batter over the top of the apples.
- Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
