Aloo Paneer Masala
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup paneer cubes (cottage cheese)
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed

Steps
  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add onion and garlic and sauté until onion is translucent.
  3. Add ginger paste and stir for 1 minute.
  4. Add tomatoes, coriander, cumin, garam masala, turmeric powder and salt. Stir to combine.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes or until tomatoes are softened.
  6. Add paneer cubes and potatoes. Stir to combine.
  7. Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  8. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  9. Serve hot.
