- 1/2 pound thin rice noodles
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the rice noodles and cook until tender, about 4 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add the fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, black pepper and cayenne pepper to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine.
- Serve hot.
