Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce, vegetable oil, garlic, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Mix until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Place the chicken in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and marinade to the skillet and cook for 8-10 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  4. Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
