- 1/2 pound bacon, diced
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 pound fresh or frozen cheese tortellini
- In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- Add onion, garlic and pepper to the skillet and cook until onion is translucent. Add olive oil and stir to combine.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add tortellini to the skillet and cook until tender.
- Serve with reserved bacon on top.
