- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs and milk.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
- Flip donuts to cook on both sides.
- Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of confectioners' sugar with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to make glaze. Dip each donut in glaze to coat.
- Serve warm.
