Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for kneading)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add maple syrup, melted butter, flour, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  6. Spread softened butter over the top of the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  7. Roll up the dough into a log shape and cut into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Place cinnamon rolls into a greased baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat oven to 375°F. Bake cinnamon rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before serving.
