Indian Garlic Naa…
Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
  2. Add the oil and warm water and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover with a damp cloth and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into an oval shape about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Place one naan onto the skillet and cook for 2 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  8. Repeat with remaining naan.
  9. Brush cooked naan with melted butter or ghee and sprinkle with minced garlic before serving.
