Steps
- 1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
- 2. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag or paper towel.
- 3. Reinsert the dipstick, making sure it goes all the way in.
- 4. Pull out the dipstick again and check the oil level.
- 5. If it is below the "low" mark, add more oil.
