- Oil

- Check your owner's manual for the type and amount of oil needed for your vehicle.
- Lift the car and place it securely on jack stands.
- Place the oil pan underneath the drain plug.
- Unscrew the drain plug with a ratchet and remove it.
- Allow all of the old oil to drain out into the pan.
- Replace the drain plug gasket (if necessary).
- Screw in the new drain plug.
- Remove the old oil filter with an oil filter wrench.
- Apply a thin layer of new oil to the rubber seal on the new filter.
- Screw in the new filter, making sure it is tight but not over-tightened.
- Pour in your new oil, following your owner's manual for recommended amount.
- Replace your engine's oil cap and start up your engine to check for any leaks.
