- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate over low heat.
- Remove from heat, and stir in the sugar, eggs, salt and vanilla.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Brownies will appear undercooked.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
