Focaccia Bread
Ingredients
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 3/4 cups water, lukewarm
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  1. Combine the flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a large bowl. Add the water and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  3. Transfer the dough onto the baking sheet. Spread it evenly over the surface of the baking sheet. Make indentations in the dough with your fingers. Drizzle some more olive oil over it.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Let cool before slicing.
