Crispy Cornbread …
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 2 cups crumbled cornbread
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Steps
  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, celery and thyme; cook and stir until vegetables are tender.
  2. Add cornbread, broth and salt; mix well. Cook for 5 minutes or until heated through.
  3. Spoon into a greased 2-quart baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
