- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.
- Add mushrooms and cook until tender.
- Stir in cream and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve over cooked pasta.
