Corn Fritters
Ingredients
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, garlic powder and pepper.
  2. Stir in milk and oil until combined.
  3. Heat a lightly greased skillet over medium heat.
  4. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  5. Serve hot.
