Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs, oil, vanilla and buttermilk.
  4. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until well blended.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven. Cake is done when it springs back to the touch.
  7. Cool in pan before serving.
