Belgian Waffles
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Steps
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the egg yolks and milk.
  4. Stir the milk mixture into the flour mixture until blended.
  5. Stir in the melted butter.
  6. Gently fold in the egg whites.
  7. Heat a lightly oiled waffle iron. Pour enough batter onto the hot waffle iron to cover it. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot.
