- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 lb beef cheek, cut into cubes
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups beef broth
- 3 cups diced tomatoes
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the beef cheek and season with chili powder, cumin and garlic powder. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the beef broth and tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.
- Serve hot.
