Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 cups uncooked orzo pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook onion and garlic in oil until softened. Stir in salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in vegetable broth and orzo. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and melted butter. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake uncovered in preheated oven until top is golden brown and center is creamy, about 30 minutes.
