Ingredients
  • 24 large mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened

Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Carefully break off stems.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  4. Stuff each mushroom cap with about 1 tablespoon of the bread crumb mixture. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over stuffed mushrooms.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese and remaining bread crumb mixture until well blended.
  7. Remove mushrooms from oven. Top each mushroom with about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Serve warm.
